All Parties Hurriyat Conference has welcomed Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir's remarks regarding Kashmir dispute and ongoing atrocities faced by Kashmiri people in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement in Srinagar, APHC spokesperson Abdul Rashid Minhas said Kashmiri people view Army Chief’s statement as a powerful reaffirmation of Pakistan commitment to Kashmir cause.
He said statement will also significantly uplift the morale of Kashmiris in their ongoing struggle for right to self-determination.
Meanwhile, a report by Kashmir Media Service says, while world observed International Day for Tolerance on Saturday, Indian government has become increasingly violent towards Muslims and other minorities both in India and IIOJK.
The report said Indian forces have waged an unrelenting campaign of violence against civilians in the held valley.
National Conference President Farooq Abdullah, speaking at a gathering in Jammu has expressed grave concern over exploitation of resources and job opportunities in IIOJK by non-locals.
On the other hand, New Zealand has rejected India’s objections and granted permission for Sikhs for Justice to hold a Khalistan Referendum, set to take place at Aotea Square in Auckland on Sunday.
Local authorities have assured Sikh community that the referendum will proceed as planned.
