New Zealand dismissing India’s objections has granted permission to Sikhs for Justice to hold a Khalistan Referendum scheduled to be held at Aotea Square in Auckland on Sunday.
Local authorities have assured the Sikh community that the referendum will proceed as planned.
Earlier, similar referendums were conducted in cities across the United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
Sikhs for Justice is a pro-independence organization based in the United States that advocates for the establishment of separate Sikh homeland, known as Khalistan, within India.
