The United Nations has reiterated the call for immediate ceasefire and cessation of Israeli occupation of Gaza.                                         

In a statement, UN office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights said the clear path to peace and stability lies in the realization of Palestinian self-determination.             

The Human Rights office expressed alarm over the situation of hunger and malnutrition in Gaza with a quarter of the population starving.
