Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Engineer Amir Muqam has said that the development of Gilgit-Baltistan is the top priority of the federal government.
Chairing an important meeting regarding WAPDA CBM projects, Federal Minister emphasized to address the real problems of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan.
He also assured to provide possible relief to the affectees of Bhasha Dam.
He said that a high-level committee will be constituted which will visit Gilgit-Baltistan and take comprehensive decisions to resolve legitimate demands of the people.
He said that Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is deeply interested in the development and progress of Gilgit-Baltistan.
The meeting discussed in detail WAPDA's confidence building measures plans including water supply and sanitation issues, land settlement issues and other issues.
Important decisions were also taken in the meeting and instructions were also issued to concern authorities to ensure timely completion of various development projects in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Federal Minister said that he will personally visit Gilgit-Baltistan.
On the occasion, WAPDA officials briefed that the tenders for water supply project will be issued within two weeks.
