People in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir observed yet another Eid-ul-Adha under brutal military siege in the territory.
According to Kashmir Media Service, even today when the Muslims in South Asia were celebrating Eid-ul-Adha, Indian troops martyred one more Kashmiri youth in a fake encounter staged during a violent military operation in Aragam area of Bandipora district.
Besides, Indian army, paramilitary and police personnel continued their cordon and search operations and house raids in various districts of IIOJK, including Kupwara, Doda, Reasi, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Over 100 people have been arrested in these areas in the last few days.
The occupation authorities placed senior APHC leader, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest in Srinagar and barred him from offering Eid-ul-Adha prayers at the grand mosque.
The APHC leadership in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed grave concern over the prevention of Eid prayers at the grand mosque and historic Eidgah, describing New Delhi’s move as extremely painful and a blatant interference in the religious matters of the Kashmiri Muslims.
