Met office has forecast rain-wind, thundershowers in Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and heavy falls in Potohar, Gilgit Baltistan and Azad Kashmir during the next two days.

Heavy falls may increase flow in local nullahs in mountainous regions and land slides and flash flooding in Punjab and AJK.

Flash flooding and land sliding may also occur in hilly regions of Balochistan, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit Baltistan.

Provincial Disaster Management Authorities have been put on alert to ensure early warning and prompt response in vulnerable areas.

All relevant departments have been advised to make complete arrangements for rescue and relief measures in light of forecast conditions.

National Disaster Management Authority has also warned of possible floods in the mountainous regions of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Gilgit-Baltistan due to expected heavy rainfall.
