NDMA's NEOC anticipates more rains in Punjab, Sindh

National Emergency Operations Center of NDMA has anticipated more rain and thundershower in Punjab and Sindh from Monday till Thursday.

According to NEOC, strong system is active in parts of Sindh and may result in heavy downpours in short duration.

Similarly, isolated rainfalls are expected intermittently in most parts of Punjab, including the Potohar region, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Multan during this period.

The NEOC has also warned of flash flooding due to torrential rains in local nullahs/streams and hill torrents of D.G Khan Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, Sialkot, Sargodha, Faisalabad and Multan while coastal flooding may occur along Sindh's Makran coast.

Flood may occur in low laying areas of Dadu, Hyderabad, Badin and Shahdadpur districts of Sindh.

NDMA has urged all relevant authorities to take necessary precautions to mitigate the potential impacts of flooding and heavy rains and ensure a swift response to any arising situations. 

The public has been advised to stay informed and download 'Pak NDMA Disaster Alert' mobile app for timely alerts and close monitoring of weather reports.
