Analysts say Prime Minister’s fruitful meetings in China will yield positive results for Pakistan

Dr. Zafar Hussain (Senior Analyst, Beijing): More than 150 representatives from around the world are actively participating in the 3rd Belt and Road Initiative forum. During this event, the caretaker Prime Minister engaged in crucial discussions with various Chinese think tanks and figures. Additionally, the high-level delegation accompanying the Prime Minister is currently convening meetings with Chinese investors. The Commerce Minister has also held productive discussions with over 20 Chinese companies, encouraging them to consider investments in Pakistan through the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. The caretaker Prime Minister also lent his support to the investment potential in Pakistan, with a particular focus on the second phase of CPEC involving the relocation of industries to Pakistan. Moreover, a one-on-one meeting between the Prime Minister and the Chinese President is also expected. In this meeting, various Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) are expected to be signed. On another note, today, the Prime Minister is scheduled to hold a significant meeting with the Russian President, during which they will delve into the current situation in Gaza.

This demonstrates the project's openness to collaboration with other nations, and both Pakistan and China stand ready to embrace any country interested in joining this endeavor. During discussions with Chinese leadership, the Caretaker Prime Minister will explore matters of shared interest and importance.
