Pakistan needs to revitalize its economy, attract foreign direct investment

Dr. Farooq Adil (Analysts): President Asif Ali Zardari emphasized the need for fostering the atmosphere of mutual respect and political reconciliation realizing the vision of great leaders including Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

He underscored the need for meaningful dialogue and consensus to take the country forward.

President said Pakistan needs to revitalize its economy.  He said our primary objective should be to attract foreign direct investment.

The President underscored the importance of promoting positive working relationship and effective coordination between the Government and the Opposition. The President appreciated friendly countries, particularly Saudi Arabia, UAE, China, Turkey, and Qatar, who always supported Pakistan in difficult times.

 

Dr. Noor Fatima (Economist): Government’s policies are attracting foreign investors.  And foreign investment will help put the country on path of progress and soon will bring economic stability.

Pakistan is also developing good relations with international institutions, such ties will result in producing more job and business opportunities for our people.

The incumbent government is committed to encourage the neighboring countries to exploit favorable and business-friendly atmosphere in Pakistan.

China Pakistan Economic Corridor brought huge Chinese investment and now recent visit of Saudi Arabian delegation is the beginning of a new era of Saudi investment, commercial and strategic partnership in Pakistan.

Pakistan has capacity to absorb all the foreign investments in different sectors to boost the economy and gradually the country will emerge as an economic power in the world.
