Prime Minister Imran Khan has directed the Ministry of Power to resolve the issues of Faisalabad textile industry as soon as possible.
Talking to business representatives and exporters associated with the textile industry who called on him in Faisalabad on Wednesday, he said despite the problems faced by covid-19, the country's economic situation is stable.
He also directed Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar to consult with all stakeholders regarding setting up of an Expo Center in Faisalabad.
He asked the Ministry of Communications to take steps for setting up a motorway interchange at Chak Jhumra. He also asked the ministry of Aviation to work out a strategy to build Faisalabad International Airport.
On the occasion, business community vowed to increase textile exports to 21 billion US dollars by next year.
On the occasion, the Prime Minister also held talks with laborer representatives.
The workers' representatives appreciated the steps taken by the government to revive the industry.
