The Chief Minister of the Punjab, Mohsin Naqvi has formally approved the grand operation against encroachments under which crackdown against encroachments will start tomorrow across the province.

Presiding over a meeting in Lahore, the chief minister said that 48-hour deadline has been given to the violators to dismantle encroachments voluntarily, after that massive crackdown will begin. 

He warned that if the encroachments are not removed, arrests will be made and cases will be registered against them.

Caretaker Punjab Chief Minister said that elimination of encroachments is indispensable to curb traffic jams.

He said that in this regard, directives have been issued to the assistant commissioners and the city administrations.
