China has expressed readiness to play a constructive role to restore peace and stability in Syria. 

This was stated by China's deputy permanent representative to the United Nations, Geng Shuang during his remarks his remarks at the UN Security Council briefing on Syria.

Geng calling on all parties concerned in Syria to exercise calm and restraint, refrain from actions that may escalate situation and prevent new conflicts.
