Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to continued success of CPEC.
Talking to media in Beijing, the minister highlighted ongoing efforts to expand and deepen bilateral ties between Pakistan and China.
He said the pace of CPEC will not slow down, but rather this project will reach greater heights and guarantee the development and prosperity of both countries.
Ahsan Iqbal said that security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan has been enhanced, ensuring that nefarious designs of anti-CPEC elements would not succeed.
He also conveyed condolence over the killing of Chinese engineers in terror-related incidents, made it clear that the government of Pakistan has strongly condemned terror incidents aimed at destabilizing vital CPEC project.
Planning Minister said that Pakistan has further stepped up security arrangements for engineers and staff working on the CPEC project to prevent such incidents in future.
He said that iron brotherhood between Pakistan and China could not be undermined by such cowardly acts of terrorism.
Ahsan Iqbal also conveyed condolences on behalf of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to Power China management over killing of Chinese engineers and sympathies to families of victims.
