Chairperson Intellectual Property Organization Pakistan Farukh Amil has emphasized that cultivating a culture of Intellectual Property Rights is essential for transforming the country from a consumer nation to a start-up nation.
Speaking at a seminar in Islamabad today (Wednesday), he said stressed the need of increased awareness about intellectual property rights among youth to facilitate this significant transformation.
The Chairperson IPO Pakistan highlighted the initiatives taken by his organization to join international IP treaties and promote the use of intellectual property tools, including trademarks, copyrights, patents, and geographical indications. He also stressed the need for including intellectual property rights in the national curriculum.
Speaking on the occasion, President Institute of Regional Studies Jauhar Saleem expressed willingness to collaborate for promoting awareness, research, and advocacy regarding the intellectual property rights.
