In India, a huge protest demonstration was staged by Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind in Karnataka state against the Waqf Amendment Bill.

Thousands of people joined the protest to raise their voice against legislation.

Protesters declared that Waqf is the right of Muslims and vowed not to let fascist forces to take it away.

The Waqf Bill was described by protesters as a malicious attempt to deprive Muslims of their constitutional rights.

Protesters also accused the BJP government of systematically trying to confiscate properties of Muslims.
