Iran and the United States have released their five prisoners from each side as a part of the deal mediated by Qatar.

The five freed Iranians have been granted clemency by US President Joe Biden. The American former detainees departed for United States after their arrival at Doha International Airport.

The agreement between the both countries has also seen six billion dollars in Iranian assets held in South Korea unfrozen, triggering the prisoner exchange.
