Analyst says Indian heinous designs main hurdle in Pakistan-Afghanistan ties
January 20, 2025

Abdullah Gull (Defense Analyst): Pakistan has paid heavy price for being affectionate towards Afghanistan. Hate mongers have created gap between Pakistan and Afghanistan. During Hamid Karzai and Ashraf Ghani’s tenures at Afghan government, social media activists operated against Pakistan from Afghan presidency. These social media activists spread fake propaganda against Pakistan. Indian heinous designs and agenda in Afghanistan is major hurdle in normalization of ties between Pakistan and Afghanistan. Taliban, who had been young in the past and affected by the anti-Pakistan propaganda, have also some animosity towards Pakistan. Therefore the Afghan government must pay heed to Pakistan’s advice not to allow TTP and other terrorist outfits to carry out terror activities from Afghan soil inside Pakistan. There had been unpleasant incidents during Pakistan-Afghanistan cricket match and such incidents should be stopped. The Afghan government also needs to stop skirmishes with Pakistani forces at border because we are neighbours and brothers. Now in the wake of chilling weather, humanitarian crisis is emerging in Afghanistan because Afghan people are without medicine and other health facilities in remote areas. The world should have paid more heed towards Afghanistan but the world has forgotten its pledges. Therefore the prevailing miseries are not coming to end in Afghanistan. Currently there is no independent media access to Afghanistan therefore the world is not getting updated information about the situation of human crisis in far flung areas in Afghanistan. On the other hand, Afghanistan government is paying more heed towards infrastructure projects instead of paying attention to public welfare. Taliban administration is not allowing non-governmental organizations to perform their duties, which results in grave human crisis. Humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan can be overcome with help of Pakistan as Pakistan is quite expert in managing such crises.  Afghanistan received huge money from international community after the withdrawal of foreign forces and the question arises where that huge money is going? In the wake of humanitarian crisis, the world must come forward to save Afghan people.
