The Arts Council of Pakistan in Karachi will start producing theatre dramas from January next year with the production of dramas written by renowned writer Anwar Maqsood.
The spokesperson of Arts Council informed in this regard that a special show of Anwar Maqsood’s drama ‘Kiun Nikala’ will be presented in the council next month for the members.
It was said that the council will also start production for television soon that will help managing the financial constraints of the council.
It was further informed that Arts Council will also establish a Fine and Performing Art University in the Education City for which process will be started to acquire the land.
Meanwhile, during a meeting of the governing body of Arts Council in Karachi today, it was informed that the council will participate in the Sindh Theatre Festival that is being organized by the Sindh Culture Department.
The Arts Council will participate with 20 dramas with 10 Urdu and 10 Sindhi dramas.
