Pakistan has commended the government of Central African Republic (CAR) for peace and reconciliation in the country.
This was stated in a statement by Pakistan's Permanent Representative to UN Ambassador Munir Akram at the United Nations Security Council.
However, he expressed concern on the clashes over transhumance corridors and the religious and ethnic overtones of clashes between armed groups in some areas.
Ambassador Munir Akram expressed Pakistan's deep appreciation to United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic for its efforts to promote peace in the Central African Republic.
He said Pakistan is proud to have thirteen hundred of its troops in United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic.
