Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has urged Afghanistan to assure that its soil should not be used in terrorist activities against Pakistan.
In an interview with Turkish channel TRT, he said both the countries have common culture, religion and history and Pakistan is the well-wisher of Afghanistan.
He reaffirmed that Pakistan desires Afghanistan to prosper and develop, but Pakistan also wants assurance from the Afghan authorities that their soil will not be used against Pakistan.
Regarding Palestine issue, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan's support for a two-state solution and establishing a sovereign and independent State of Palestine based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
He stressed on a perpetual and permanent ceasefire and unimpeded movement of humanitarian aid in Gaza.
He also emphasized on full membership of Palestine in the United Nations General Assembly.
The Deputy Prime Minister said he talked to the Foreign Ministers of different Muslim countries and it was agreed to convene an extraordinary meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Organization of Islamic Cooperation in Jeddah on March 7.
Ishaq Dar said people of Palestine and Indian Illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir should be given their right to self-determination as per the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
He said India unilaterally took illegal actions about Kashmir in 2019, which were against the UN charter and resolutions.
The Deputy Prime Minster also expressed concern that India is sending settlers in IIOJK in a bid to changing its demography.
Talking about Pakistan-Turkiye brotherly relations, the Deputy Prime Minister said both the countries have very close cooperation in trade, investment, regional issues, defence and security.
Ishaq Dar said the leadership of both the countries has decided to enhance trade volume to five billion dollars in next five years.
