Minister for Industries and Production Rana Tanveer Hussain has directed the Chief Secretaries of all the provinces to set-up sugar stalls at municipal level.

Presiding over a meeting of the Sugar Advisory Board in Islamabad, he said establishing sugar stalls at municipal level is aimed at providing relief to the people.

He further directed to ensure uninterrupted supply of sugar at these stalls till 27th of Ramadan.

The meeting decided that 230 sugar stalls will be set up in Sindh and 405 selling points have been identified for sugar stalls in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa with the cooperation of provincial governments.

Rana Tanveer Hussain directed Pakistan Sugar Mills Association and provincial governments to ensure access of sugar to the underprivileged segments of society.
