The Iranian festival Nowruz is being celebrated in Pakistan and some other world countries today (Sunday).

Special programmes have been chalked out to celebrate the festival in a befitting manner.

The Iranian Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, in his address to the nation on the occasion, named the New Year as the year of production, support and removal of barriers.

The Iranian President Hassan Rouhani in his separate felicitation messages to world leaders including President Dr Arif Alvi offered congratulations and wished for their happiness and health.
