Prominent expert on ‘Iqbaliyat’ Brigadier, retired, Dr.  Waheed-uz-Zaman Tariq says ideology of national poet Dr. Muhammad Allama Iqbal is a guiding principle for the entire nation.

Speaking with Radio Pakistan’s Lahore correspondent Sajjad Parvez during Current Affairs Programme “Lahore Insight” on Thursday, he said Allama Muhammad Iqbal was a great thinker and poet who introduced the concept for creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the sub-continent.

He said the teachings of Dr Muhammad Iqbal are still relevant for new generation, as the Poet of the East had given the message of selfhood (khudi) to the Muslims through his poetry.

The expert also urged the educational institutions to spread the teachings of the great philosopher Allama Iqbal among youth in order to meet modern day challenges.
