Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on police officials, deployed for the safety of the anti-polio campaign team in South Waziristan.

In a statement on Monday, he expressed grief over the martyrdom of a police constable in the incident.

He prayed for forgiveness for the martyred constable and patience and resilience for the bereaved family.

The Prime Minister directed immediate medical assistance for the injured.

He said terrorists attacking anti-polio campaign workers and their security personnel are enemies of humanity and the nation.

He vowed to bring terrorists who harm innocent civilians to justice.

Shehbaz Sharif appealed to the public not to succumb to the pressure of such elements.

He emphasized that the anti-polio campaign will continue.

The Prime Minister reiterated that the Government of Pakistan and law enforcement agencies are working tirelessly to eradicate the menace of terrorism from the country.
