United States and South Korea have pledged to boost ties in diverse fields especially in defence cooperation.

According to a joint statement, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol and U.S President Joe Biden held their first summit talks in Seoul on Saturday.

The two presidents pledged to deepen and broaden cooperation on critical and emerging technologies and defense industry as well.
