Azad Jammu and Kashmir government presented budget for next fiscal year with a total outlay of over 200 billion rupees in AJK Legislative Assembly in Muzaffarabad today.
Presenting the budgetary proposals, Senior Minister Waqar Ahmad Noor said this is the big budget in respect of its volume.
He said 190 billion rupees have been proposed for non-development expenditure while development budget has been raised to 42 billion from 28 billion rupees.
The Senior Minister of AJK thanked the federal government for approving 30 billion rupees for the development projects including 2 billion rupees as foreign aid.
He also announced increase in government employees’ salaries on the pattern of the federal government.
