
A meeting was held in Islamabad today with Federal Secretary for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Kamran Rehman Khan in the chair, to review preparations for the observance of Youm-e-Istehsal on the 5th of next month.
Speaking on the occasion, the secretary said this year's observance of Youm-e-Istehsal will be marked in a more effective and impactful manner.
Kamran Rehman Khan stressed the importance of close coordination among all concerned ministries and departments to ensure a unified national approach and the successful execution of all planned activities.
The meeting reviewed the overall plan and reiterated the government's commitment to highlighting the significance of August 5 through coordinated national and international outreach initiatives.
Youm-e-Istehsal is observed annually on August 5 to mark the anniversary of India's 2019 decision to revoke the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir under Articles 370 and 35A.
The day is commemorated through seminars, rallies, media campaigns, and diplomatic outreach to express solidarity with the people of Jammu and Kashmir and to draw international attention to the Kashmir issue.
