The United Nations has called for immediate de-escalation in the Middle East, urging all parties to pursue dialogue and diplomacy.           

Speaking at a daily press briefing, UN secretary-general's spokesman Stephane Dujarric voiced concern over the prevailing situation in the Middle East having a risk of even wider regional escalation.
