The International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has assured Pakistan to help in strengthening civil aviation sector at national level and enhancing its presence at the international level.

The assurance was given by Secretary General of International Civil Aviation Organization Juan Carlos Salazar in Montreal during a meeting with Pakistan High Commissioner to Canada Zaheer Aslam Janjua.

On the occasion, Pakistan’s High Commissioner, presented his credentials as Pakistan's Representative to the Secretary General International Civil Aviation Organization.

The High Commissioner said Pakistan has an expanding aviation sector and the announcement of two new airlines in the country last year reflects the strength of the sector as well as the role of air travel in boosting tourism potential of the country.

Appreciating the role of Pakistan, the International Civil Aviation Organization’s Secretary General assured his full support to strengthen civil aviation sector of Pakistan.
