Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has visited Sukkur barrage and monitored the flood situation.
The chief engineer briefed him and informed that today (Monday) the upstream flow of Sukkur barrage remained 4 lac, 17 thousand nine hundred twenty cusecs and downstream flow of water remained 4 lac, 27 thousand eighty six cusecs.
He also informed that there are nine weak points on the left bank of the barrage and camps have been established at these areas to monitor the imminent flood situation.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister informed that he has visited eleven districts of the province which are affected during spell of the rain.
He directed all the concerned authorities to speed-up the relief and rescue operation in the rain-affected districts of the province.
