Dr. Zahid Anwar Khan (IR Expert): If we look into the foreign policy of Pakistan it is clear that Pakistan always played an important role in regional peace and stability. Being a non-permanent member of the United Nations, Pakistan will continue playing its role in maintaining international peace and security. Pakistan is an important member of certain organizations including SCO, CICA, ECO, SAARC and others. Although Indian extremism is disturbing the regional peace yet the efforts of Pakistan in maintaining peace and stability is no more hidden. Pakistan strongly believes that regional peace is directly linked with economic integration. 

Dr. Mujahid Gillani (Hurriyet Leader): Pakistan is a very responsible state when it comes to international and regional peace and prosperity. Pakistan for the last many years is vocal about the core issues of Palestine and Kashmir at all international forums. Pakistan has urged the human rights champions to take notice of the humanitarian crisis in Palestine and Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir. But it is the personal interest of the international community that it is hesitant to talk about these core issues. We have been observing that the students and civil society in many countries are raising voices in favor of Gaza and Kashmir. Pakistan always condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations and whatever is happening in Kashmir valley and Gaza is no more than terrorism. Unfortunately two states are behind the terrorism in Kashmir and Palestine. 

A.M. Shahid (Former Ambassador): The world acknowledges the role of Pakistan for regional peace. The war on terror was imposed on our country after 9/11. Pakistan provided shelter to a huge number of Afghan refugees but militant organizations like TTP are using Afghan soil and with Indian financing destabilizing Pakistan through terrorist activities. It is unfortunate that the interim government in Afghanistan is not taking action against these organizations. Pakistan always stood by Afghan brethren in difficult times. Pakistan at its end is always highlighting regional issues including Kashmir dispute and Palestine conflict on all international forums.
