Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has lauded the important role played by minorities, especially Christian community, for country's progress since independence.

Speaking at Christmas Ceremony in Lahore today, he said the minorities are fully safe and enjoy equal rights as per the constitution of Pakistan.

Attaullah Tarar said that Christmas is an occasion of joy which will be celebrated for the whole week along the community.
