In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference has thanked President Asif Ali Zardari for extending support to Kashmiris and highlighting the impacts of unresolved Kashmir dispute on the regional peace during his Pakistan Day speech. The APHC spokesman Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas in a statement in Srinagar expressed his appreciation for the statement made by the Pakistan's President and said the Kashmiri people owe a debt of gratitude to the country for continuously and consistently supporting the Kashmir cause.

He said the people of IIOJK firmly believe that, whatever the circumstances, Pakistan would never leave them alone. Meanwhile, posters once again surfaced in Srinagar, Bandipora, Doda and other areas of IIOJK, with solidarity and greeting messages for the people and Government of Pakistan on Pakistan Day celebrated today. The APHC-AJK chapter leaders, including Convener Mahmood Ahmad Saghar, Muhammad Farooq Rehmani and Ghulam Muhammad Safi in a joint statement, felicitating the people and Government of Pakistan, said that the ongoing struggle in IIOJK is a continuation of the Pakistan Movement. To mark the Pakistan Day, a rally was organized by Pasban-e-Hurriyat in Muzaffarabad, the capital of Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
