A two-day training workshop on patent drafting, trademark filing and copyright registration was held at School of Politics and International Relations, Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad.

Large number of students, faculty members, and Intellectual Property professionals attended the workshop, jointly organized by Quaid-i-Azam University and Office of Research, Innovation, and Commercialization.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Intellectual Property Organization Pakistan Farukh Amil emphasized the crucial role of intellectual property rights in Pakistan's economic development.  He stressed the need of creating awareness and advocacy in the masses on IP issues.

Farukh Amil urged the people to "Invent! Own! and Earn!" with objective of economic self-reliance and development.
