Ahsan Iqbal urges joint efforts to raise literacy levels in Pakistan

Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal has urged federal and provincial governments to put joint efforts in order to raise literacy level in the country.    

He was addressing a ceremony in connection with the International Day of Education 2025 in Islamabad on Friday.

Highlighting the aspects of ‘Uraan Pakistan’ initiative for the promotion of education in the country, the Minister said that the purpose of this initiative is to achieve hundred percent primary school enrollment.

Commenting on Balochistan, Ahsan Iqbal said that efforts are being made to approve PC-1 for providing school furniture and to strengthen monitoring mechanisms in the province.

He praised the School Education Department Gilgit-Baltistan for implementing several reforms in order to improve the education sector.
