A senior Bahraini parliamentarian has criticized the ill treatment of Muslims in India.

Second Deputy Speaker, Ahmad Qarata, while addressing Bahrain parliament urged upon his government and other Gulf nations to condemn New Delhi and decisions be taken to stop the bloodshed of Muslims in India.

He said that the Muslim leader, Atique Ahmed, was killed by Hindu extremists under police custody and the murder should be condemned.

Bahrain Parliament's Vice Chairman for foreign affairs, defence and national security committee Jameel Mulla Hassan said Muslims are frequently killed in India, and their mosques are targeted.

He said all Arab parliaments should condemn these incidents and Indian ambassador should be summoned.
