The United States has criticized an Israeli bill that would declare the UN agency for Palestinian refugees a terrorist organization.

In a statement, US State Department Spokesman Matthew Miller said such efforts are incredibly unhelpful and urged Israeli government and the parliament to halt the moving of this legislation.

He said the attacks that the Israeli government has leveled on UNRWA are incredibly unhelpful.
