In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, prominent lawyer, Advocate Babar Qadri, has been shot dead by unknown gunmen in Srinagar.         

Babar Qadri was a staunch critic of BJP policies on Kashmir and raised the Kashmir issue at many fora stressing the need to resolve it as per UN resolutions.          

Babar Qadri was also pleading cases of Hurriyat leaders and activists in different  courts.
