On the instructions of Chief Minister Gilgit-Baltistan Haji Gulbar Khan, the Food Department has taken special measures to ensure the supply of wheat and flour in all ten districts of Gilgit Baltistan. 

Food Department Secretary Usman Ahmed has issued strict instructions to all concerned officials to take strict measures against illegal hoarding of wheat and flour monitoring in all districts to ensure supply of subsidized wheat and flour to the people.

He said teams are being formed which will closely monitor the departmental elements and dealers involved in black marketing.

He also maintained that no negligence will be tolerated in relation to the distribution of wheat and flour and Zero tolerance policy is being adopted in this regard.
