Finance Minister Asad Umar chaired a high level meeting in Islamabad to discuss matters pertaining to operationalization of Pakistan Infrastructure Bank and Public–Private Partnership Authority.

The Pakistan Infrastructure Bank which is expected to be operational this year will provide facility for long term investment to commercially viable projects besides providing support to social sector projects.

The meeting directed for early finalization of rules and procedures for operationalization of Public – Private Partnership Authority.

The authority which has already been established aimed at forging cooperation for long term development projects.
