Leaders of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations, ASEAN has called upon developed countries to fulfil their climate change commitment to support implementation of mitigation and adaptation actions of developing countries.

In a joint statement, ten ASEAN countries recognized the potential contribution by developing countries dependent on the support provided by developed countries as guaranteed by the Convention and the Paris Agreement.

ASEAN leaders also called upon developed countries to continue and further scale up the mobilization of climate finance ahead of initiating deliberations on the setting up of a new collective quantified goal.
