Gilgit-Baltistan Chief Minister Hafiz Hafeez-ur-Rehman has suspended the notification of Local Government and Rural development issued in June 2016 regarding collection of local council revenues with immediate effect.

Notification in this regard has been issued.    

According to the notification, all tax collection of local council revenues including tolls, rates, fees charges imposed in GB under the third schedule of the Gilgit-Baltistan local government act 2014 through the local councils now have been withheld until a final decision and further direction of the competent authority.
