Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has expressed grief and sorrow over the death of former Prime Minister of India Dr. Manmohan Singh.          

In a message on social media platform X today, he extended condolences to Manmohan Singh 's family and government and people of India by the people and government of Pakistan.

The Deputy Prime Minister made special mention of Manmohan Singh's commitment for promotion of regional peace and his notable role in improving Pak-India bilateral relations during his tenure as Prime Minister.

Ishaq Dar said Manmohan Singh's approach to regional issues reflected his belief in mutual understanding, dialogue and cooperation for collective progress.    

He said Manmohan Singh was a distinguished economist and political leader who will be remembered for his wisdom and gentle demeanor.
