The first convocation of National University of Medical Sciences was held in Rawalpindi.

Retired Lieutenant General Syed Muhammad Imran Majid, who was the chief guest on the occasion said NUMS has become a prominent educational institution at both national and international levels. He said the university is emerging as an excellent center in the field of medical education.

Degrees were awarded to 321 students in the convocation.
