The Economic Coordination Committee of the Cabinet has  approved a proposal of Power Division regarding the release of subsidy for the supply of 100 percent RLNG to export oriented industry for the month of March last year.

The meeting presided over by the Federal Minister for Finance Shaukat Tarin in Islamabad today (Wednesday) also decided to form a sub-committee to review the power subsidies provided to export oriented sectors, with a direction to submit a comprehensive proposal before the ECC.

The ECC also constituted a sub-committee on Power Divisions proposal to release the first installments of payment to the Independent Power Producers.

The committee also approved various Technical Supplementary Grants.
