In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, Modi government has deployed more troops on the pretext of providing security for Hindu pilgrims attending Amarnath Yatra beginning from tomorrow.
The deployment is in addition to the tens of thousands of the troops already present in IIOJK.
In a statement in Srinagar, All Parties Hurriyat Conference has criticized Modi government’s actions aimed at perpetuating fear through increased troops’ deployment.
The statement said massive military presence has turned Kashmir into the most military zone.
Meanwhile, Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights has expressed concern over New Delhi’s decision to prosecute renowned author Arundhati Roy and Kashmiri scholar Sheikh Showkat Hussain under draconian law.
In a post on X, the UN body urged the Indian authorities to drop the cases against Arundhati Roy and Sheikh Showkat Hussain and release human rights defenders detained under draconian law.
