Russian President Vladimir Putin has said that Moscow respects peace proposal on Ukraine, presented by Russia-Africa Summit and will carefully study it today (Friday).

He conveyed this to the African leaders at a two-day summit at St Perersberg on Friday.

Meanwhile, Japan has announced an expanded list of sanctions against Russia over its invasion of Ukraine.
