Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai has returned to Pakistan for the first time since being shot by Taliban militants on October 9, 2012.

Meanwhile, Foreign Office Spokesperson, Dr Muhammad Faisal has welcomed Malala Yousafzai on her arrival in Pakistan saying the nation is proud of her.

Referring to her pen name in a tweet, the Spokesperson said Pakistan welcomes "Gul Makai" to her home.
