The UN Security Council will meet in New York today to discuss situation in Gaza.

The meeting has been convened at the request of the United Kingdom and Switzerland to discuss the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

The move comes after Israeli forces opened fire on a “clearly marked UN humanitarian convoy” with the World Food Programme in besieged enclave.
