Brig. (R) Said Nazir (Defence Analyst):The Afghan Taliban regime is not an elected or peoples’ representative setup. Taliban regime is actually occupying regime imposed on people of Afghanistan against their will. Therefore, Taliban regime is more caring about itself rather than welfare of people of Afghanistan. This is why; Afghan people are now fully fed up of Taliban regime because regime is not concentrating on resolving public issues. Due to distorted explanation of Islamic laws, Taliban regime has created internal fault line within Afghan society, but Taliban regime is blaming for Pakistan for this fault line. Now Afghan Taliban regime has created and staged a flop drama, written and directed by Indian RAW, but exposed by Pakistan. Taliban regime propagated that Pakistan has launched around 400 personnel who have captured a number of check posts of Afghan regime. But it is clear from photographs circulated by Taliban regime that people fighting against Taliban were wearing white socks and Shalwar-Qameez (dresses). Then identities of killed people have not been disclosed. Thus, it was a flop drama staged by Taliban regime to divert attention of local people from regime’s failures in delivering towards local people. Moreover, UN has also declared that Taliban regime is harbouring terrorism in the neighbouring countries. Similarly, insecure boundaries of Afghanistan have become threat to regional and global peace. This is why; India and Afghan sponsored terrorist organizations are targeting Pakistan. Afghan regime is creating and circulating fake and baseless narrative against Pakistan. Our forces are highly vigilant and will take due action against terrorists whenever they cross into Pakistan from Afghanistan. Afghan Taliban regime is acting as a proxy of India and Israel against Pakistan merely for the sake of money. Various resistance groups have surfaced in Afghanistan to play their role in Afghan development by fighting out Taliban regime from power. These groups are targeting outposts of Afghan Taliban regime and captured several districts in different provinces. These groups are also promising an inclusive future government after pushing Taliban regime out of power.

Dr. Muhammad Khan (IR Expert): Pakistan has been a positive gesture for Afghan people, but, unfortunately, no Afghan government has ever been positive towards Pakistan. Pakistan expected Afghan Taliban regime to be Pakistan friendly, because Pakistan had made efforts for stabilization in Afghanistan but unfortunately, Afghan Taliban regime also started targeting Pakistan. Even today, millions of Afghan refugees are present in Pakistan and Pakistan has positive gesture towards Afghan people. Afghan soil is being used against Pakistan despite the fact that Pakistan has repeatedly brought the issue in the notice of Taliban regime. But, unfortunately, Afghan Taliban regime is supporting, financing, sponsoring and abetting TTP and other terrorist organizations against Pakistan. Factually, Afghanistan has become hub of terrorism with main target of destabilizing Pakistan. Afghan Taliban regime made several commitments with Pakistan that Afghan soil would not be used against any country including Pakistan but not a single commitment has been met so far. Now all terrorist groups sponsored and created by India equipped with modern weapons and arms are carrying out terrorists activities against Pakistan. Therefore, it is high time for international community to step forward for peace in the region and reconsider dolling out millions of dollars to Afghan Taliban regime. It is necessary because Pakistan put internal security and stability at the stake in the global war on terror for the sake of world peace. Now it is time that the international community must recognize Pakistan’s sacrifices in the international war on terror and sanction on Afghan Taliban regime and stop all kind of aid from UN agencies for Afghan Taliban regime. Afghan people have risen against Afghan Taliban regime, however, international community will have to play due role to support resistant groups to oust Afghan Taliban regime. Pakistan can’t compromise on security and stability at any cost. Therefore, all the financers, abettors and sponsors of Afghan Taliban regime must reconsider their policies because Pakistan is an important country in the world. UN must also sanction on India and Israel for supplying funds and arms to terrorists in Afghanistan against Pakistan. At present Pakistan is target of Afghan originating terrorism but this terrorism may also target other neighbouring countries of Afghanistan. In this regard, Pakistan and other neighbors of Afghanistan must chalk out a joint strategy to counter terrorism from Afghanistan. Pakistan will continue targeting terrorist network inside Afghanistan because Pakistan can’t allow any group to cross Pakistan’s red line. Afghan Taliban regime is not very strong therefore they can’t survive against Afghan resistance groups.
